the SRC "Carat" DP JSC "Concern-Electron"
(street Stryiska, 202) with the opening of a joint Research and
Production Concern "Nauka" scientific experimental and industrial land
with industrial production nanoheterostructures different purposes ( for super-bright LEDs, concentrator solar cells and high-power microwave transistors).
At
the opening of the site were invited heads of ministries and
departments concerned, the leadership of the Lviv regional state
administration, the City of Lviv and the leading scientists of Ukraine,
Russian Federation and the European Union.
Scientific
and Production Concern "Science" jointly with the Scientific-Production
Enterprise "Karat" for the first time in Ukraine in this area the
production of competitive heteroepitaxial device structures, including
nanoscale active layers for the manufacture of LEDs and other
solid-state electronics devices by vapor-phase epitaxy of organometallic compounds.
For
the production of epitaxial heterostructures is involved only in
Ukraine processing facility, which is based on installation «Veeco
D-180LDM MOCVD System» for the deposition of epitaxial layers on a
semiconductor wafer, the installation of vapor-phase epitaxy,
"HPE-Micro" setting liquid-phase epitaxy "EVARS" as well as modern
laboratory with
all the necessary control equipment, in particular: the system of
photoluminescent semiconductor wafer mapping PLM-series, the Hall
measurement system HMS3000, electrochemical profilometer Accent
PN4300PC, laser microanalyzer, a complex for the study of
photoluminescent properties of semiconducting materials based on
"MGS-29", which combination makes it possible to solve complex scientific and technical problems.
As
part of the State Target Scientific and Technical Program
"Nanotechnologies and Nanomaterials" for 2010-2014 and the
Ukrainian-Russian Development Programme of cooperation in the field of
nanotechnology SPC "Science" in conjunction with SPE "Karat" was carried
out several research and development activities and created a unique technology in the field of solid-state electronics, which will be put into production at the joint area. For
example, a CPP "Science" in the years previous activities developed and
implemented a conceptually new technological approach to the management
of the impurity-defect epitaxial layer system that provides instrument
epitaxial A3B5 with high uniformity and a wide range of changes of
electrical parameters.
In SRC "Carat" developed physical-chemical basis of universal technology
of forming epitaxial optoelectronic structures based on the use of the
influence of rare earth elements on the crystallization processes of
epitaxial layers of A3B5.
Opening
of the first manufacturing site suggests the creation in Ukraine of
modern enterprise world-class production of new devices of
optoelectronics based on nanotechnology. It
will gradually fill the Ukrainian market of competitive domestic
appliances, and in the future to expand the supply of products outside
the state.
It
should be noted that even at the stage of scientific research and
experimental trials in SPC "Science" was agreed and signed the first
contract to supply nanoheterostructures that will be produced at the
joint area, the EU countries for a total of 2.5 million U.S. dollars.
